Warranty Policy
This Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which Euro Car Parts Australia provides warranty coverage for products purchased through our website. By purchasing from us, you (“you”, “the customer”, or “the buyer”) agree to the terms set out below.
1. Warranty Period
1.1. All products sold by Diesel Parts Australia include a warranty period between 3 to 12 months, depending on the item.
1.2. The specific warranty duration applicable to each product is stated on the product listing.
1.3. Warranty coverage commences on the date of delivery.
2. Scope of Warranty Coverage
2.1. The warranty covers mechanical failure or manufacturing defects occurring under normal and proper use of the product.
2.2. If a warranted product fails due to a defect within the applicable warranty period, we will, at our discretion:
- Provide a replacement part; or
- Issue a refund if a replacement is not available.
2.3. Warranty coverage applies only to the specific item purchased.
2.4. Warranty is strictly limited to the purchased item itself and does not extend to any surrounding or associated components, systems, or damages.
2.5. Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
2.6. Any replacement or repaired item does not extend or renew the original warranty period.
3. Exclusions
3.1. The warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from incorrect or improper installation
- Misuse, negligence, abuse, or failure to follow proper maintenance
- Modifications, tampering, or unauthorised repairs
- Accidents, collisions, contamination, overheating, or other external factors
- Normal wear and tear or consumable components (unless otherwise stated)
3.2. The warranty does not cover any parts, components, or systems other than the specific purchased item.
3.3. No warranty is provided for any consequential, indirect, or incidental losses, including but not limited to:
- Labour, fitting, or diagnostic costs
- Vehicle downtime, towing, or transport costs
- Damage to other vehicle components
- Loss of income or business interruption
3.4. Products returned incomplete, dismantled, altered, or missing accessories/packaging are not eligible for warranty consideration.
3.5. No warranty claims will be accepted after the expiry of the warranty period stated on the product listing.
4. Injector Warranty Testing
4.1. All injector warranty claims require diagnostic testing to confirm the presence of a fault.
4.2. If testing confirms a defect covered by warranty, standard remedies will apply.
4.3. If no fault is found, a testing fee of AUD $77 per injector will apply.
4.4. All testing fees must be paid before the injectors are returned to the customer.
4.5. Testing fees and related expenses are not covered under warranty.
5. Making a Warranty Claim
5.1. To lodge a warranty claim, the customer must contact us with:
- Order details; and
- A description of the issue.
5.2. Supporting evidence (photos, videos, diagnostic reports) may be required.
5.3. No goods may be returned without prior authorisation.
5.4. Upon inspection, we will determine the outcome and either:
- Provide a replacement;
- Issue a refund; or
- Decline the claim if no defect is identified.
5.5. Approved claims: return shipping costs will be covered by Diesel Parts Australia.
5.6. Declined claims: the customer is responsible for all return postage and associated costs.
6. Customer Responsibilities
6.1. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the part purchased is compatible with their vehicle.
6.2. Warranty applies only to the purchased item itself and does not cover:
- Labour involved in installation or removal
- Damage to other components
- Additional parts required during or after installation
- Any form of consequential or indirect loss
6.3. We accept no liability for damages, losses, or costs arising from incorrect part selection, installation errors, or the failure of related systems.
